How come the Lord chose the Jews, "to be a peculiar ['valued'] people" (Deuteronomy 14:2) above other nations? It's actually because they were the only ones left who had made Him their God (Psalm 33:12) and that's why He chose them to reveal Who He is to the rest of us (Genesis 12:3). Billye Brim talks with Gloria Copeland from the week of the June 14th 2004 'Believer's Voice of Victory' broadcast: 'Signs of the Times' - http://www.kcm.org - about what God's done through the Jewish people (Romans 9:4-5). I'm so grateful, as a born-again Christian that I smile and say 'shalom' if I pass an orthodox Jewish man in the street whenever I can. And I know God's not through with them either (Romans 11:29). So, if you think that God is leaving you out because you were not part of God's 'chosen' people, then it's probably because of... your own choice. 1 Peter 2:9 says how if you've made Jesus Lord, you are now "a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation" and "a peculiar ['valued'] people" and it doesn't matter what race you are!
