Right on. Bassists is always underrated. as Jones, Enthwistle( who). They lay the foundatione of the music,melody,rythm but nobody hears them. Page was a vibrant Rythm guitarist, as well as a lead player. For a comparison listen to Blackmore (deep purple) he only plays solo - all the time.

I agree that JPJ is one of the most - and possibly the most - underrated bassist/musician in R&R history. Not to mention the fact that he wrote about two-thirds of Zeps material. John Entwistle? Any discussion of his abilities is futile because it's so friggin obvious.

John Bonham? Basically same thoughts as John Entwistle. The greatest drummer in R&R history, IMO. If I could put together my perfect rock band it would include him or Carl Palmer on drums and JPJ or Geezer Butler on bass. OK I'm done philosophizing now.. .lol
