The music of the classical world has been going down hill since the turn of the 20th century, im 15 and i love classical music, my favorite is prolly clarinet concerto in b flat major. my second is pastoral, I LOVE CLASSICAL MUSIC! i think people my age should learn to enjoy and feel the classical music

I don't really agree with that. I think there was some very interesting classical music in the last century, unfortunately music critics only want to pick out a few chosen composers who they label as the best. Over the last century I don't think there has been a genius like Beethoven, Mozart etc. But that hasn't mattered so much because the strength has been in the number of interesting composers, rather than in a few dominating ones.

im 22 and into the rock/rave sceen in north england.
but got into classical by watching a clock work orange when i was a kid. beethoven was a rockstar.

Agreed, but this one is my fav personally i love all kinds of music and classical is very up there im basically your age unfortunatley classical will never be brought back it was soo good in the 18th and 19th century dont u think?

yes the boroque period and classical periods of music are my favorites =p i still have yet to listen to some of Franz Schubert and other composers from the romantic era but im positive that i'll enjoy it.

yeah, when i said downhill i meant that classical music has been behind the shadow of Rock and pop....u rarely hear of a young teenager prefering classical music over Rock and u rarely even see new compsers that concentrate on classical music anymore, granted there are a few but not as many as in the 1600's and 1700's even 1800's, and those few 21st century classical compsers are over run with an overwhelming amount of rock starts and rock songs

This is too rushing. I hate it. You people don't always think that Mr. K is great. He didn't let the pastoral symphony breath here. Instead it reminds me of the busy traffic in my hometown Hong Kong. The murmur of river becomes hundreds and thousands of cars - annoying!!
