its stands for gross vehicle weight,its not the weight of the car.its the maximum legal weight at witch a vehicle can be operated.dumb ass,just goolge gvw and you see the truth

Thats exactly right,gross vehicle weigh means thats the max load you are allowed to carry. I have been a truck driver all my life and my tractor/trailer weighs 36,000 lbs empty but my GVW is 80,000 lbs so that means that I am allowed to carry a 44,000 lb load. But you can't argue with a certified ASE mechanic, they know it all. lol

dude shut the fuck up gvw is the entire weight of the truck loaded full fuel tank driver and passenger half ton 1000 three quater ton 1500 one ton 2000 the truth is that you look at the gvw my truck 10,500 - 2000 = 8500 there you go you dont know shit i work on vehicles every fucking day go to an auto shop they will tell you the same thing i said

whats up with the interior. the center console isn't even aligned with the arm rest on the door. and why does it change color between the part with the gear shifter and the part with the radio. it looks they shoved a whole bunch of parts in their ass and then shit them into the interior.

Dodge trucks arent the best but they certanly arent crap- well not all of it. Their engines especially the diesels and awesome. The only thing bad about them is their trannies and they tend to rust alot and the paint always seems to peel. But they are nice trucks especially the newer ones now that they fixed the tranny problems. Compared to a toyota Dodge trucks are better for towing and hauling. Both trucks are good but dont bash the americans they are great trucks for work and play.

yea. im just sick of people thinking that toyota is some kind of reincarnation of god in the auto world. They praise this truck like it can beat every other truck on the road- the sad thing is they didnt do their homework and dont realize how amazing the american trucks can preform. Im not bashing the tundra- its a decent truck but people need to open their eyes and realize that American trucks can pack a punch and this is their land and they wont let any foreigners invade their territory.

Used to own 05 F150. Wanted new truck. 2009 refresh job was crap. Same engines same performance. Considered GM's, Nissan, NO DODGE....and of course Toyota. Nissan...no, GM's engines are big displacement, poor mileage!! Even 6.2 Denali was about same performance...minus 3 miles to the gallon compared to Toyota. Went with the Toyota. Best decision ever made. Used to be really loyal to American made. First foreign car in years. Just couldn't ignore the quality and performance difference

sorry but most of the toyotas you see here are made here in the USA! look it up, the tundra is made in princeton indiana where it began, and now in san antonio, tx don't mean to seem like a smart ass but people need to know that it not imported

I couldnt give up a Silverado 2500HD for one of these. For one, you cant get a decent sized bed with the crew cab like GM and Ford. Useless if you have to actually put something in the bed AND haul people. The plastic front end is laughable too. Even for the most basic model, the price is outrageous. Lots of frill, just not enough real truck. The 3/4 and 1 tons from Ford, GM and Dodge are far better suited for towing, and from experience, they're just as reliable.
