A different kind of Queen of the Night! I like this take. If you like her evil, go for Damrau, but this definitely has a different kind of power.

I love Dessay's performance! One of the things I like about it is how she resolves the contradiction of the aria itself: the hateful words in a bright coloratura aria. Dessay does it with her facial expressions, singing the melisma as if she's screaming insanely.

í la reina mas creíble. Como lo dice la propia letra, ella porta la muerte Y LA DESESPERACION dentro, hay que comprender la aflicción de una madre... Es una composición distinta a otras que ven unpersonaje malvado en la Reina. Aparte, la voz de Natalie es mi preferida por su timbre caracterí

Las cosas no son blanco o negro, ni Zarastro es el mejor ni la Reina es una mujer malvada; es una madre preocupada que busca una salida.
Impresionante como siempre la voz de Natalie, ese timbre especial hace que para mi sea la mejor para este papel.

Terrible, she not have voice to that aria yeat! Perhaps to the Zittre Nicht but not to the Holle Racht, she needs have a more mature voice to that holle!

She is not the best of course. Diana Damrau is the best to perform this aria. Natalie sounds too superficial.
