officially launched her campaign as a Green Party candidate for President. In a soon-to-be-released video news release, McKinney says "the Republicans have deceived us; the Democrats have failed us. It is time for a new beginning: A time for hope to rise from the ashes of despair." McKinney, a
former Democrat from Georgia, was one of only three members of Congress to vote "yes" on a House Resolution in 2005 calling for the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq. One of her last acts in office was introducing Articles of Impeachment naming George Bush, Dick Cheney and Condoleezza R
ice. According to McKinney: "It is time to break the vicious cycle where the poor go to war and veterans come home wounded and ignored." McKinney supports universal, single-payer health care; fair trade; and has been an unrelenting advocate for Hurricane Katrina survivors. No stranger to controv
ersy and unafraid of speaking truth to power, McKinney has demanded that the Bush Administration tell the American people what the Administration knew about the events leading up to 9/11 and when they knew it. McKinney's announcement ends months of speculation about her plans. McKinney has been tr

Cynthia McKinney proved her credibility on the 9/11 Commission. We need a candidate like this for president in the U.S., someone who is not afraid to speak out for disenfranchised black voters. Obama has been silent on this issue for the last year and he is never going to talk about it. American Blackout is a film I would highly recommend to everyone.

I used to be a supporter of Paul for president. He is most visible opponent of the war and protecting the constitution, but when you read about the unchecked corporate abuses due to deregulation, a larger focus is put on people rather than money. I wouldn't want him as president, but he is a welcome opposition to the war in Iraq, our civil liberties and corporate welfare.

Cynthia McKinney is the only candidate for president that is moral, respectful, knows what she is talking about, and is correct on every issue she speaks of. 9/11 was an inside job, we need to end our need for oil, and our health care and jobs need to be of better quality and opportunity! This is clearly the only campaign, the only candidate, that knows what she is talking about.
