i was too, till i got hit recently, and my 1996 ford f-150 was totalled, and i hadda buy a new truck. i was gonna buy a ford, but my mom bought a 2004 toyota sienna, and has yet to have any problems, so i figuired id test drive the tundra. i have to say, there was no way i could buy a ford after driving it. even though i could get a 2007 f-150 that matched my 96' for 19$, i paid the 31$ for the tundra, and ive been nothing but happy :)

I have a friend who is a mechanical engineer at a company in Jackson, TN. They are the manufacturer of the aluminum V8 blocks. He has been working on the defects and says it was just an early production problem that is now fixed, but he still preforms an extensive quality control check list to be sure

Ah Hah! I found the sixth copied and pasted statement from Punch. Spam - to send many copies of a message on the Internet, it was coined by Usenet users after March 31, 1993, when Usenet administrator Richard Depew inadvertently posted the same message 200 times to a discussion group Thats from dictionary dot com, and you certainly fit the description.
Yea I can say that ... ( 1 year ago by krickbaumt)
Yea I can say that the Tundra does not scratch the cab because of bed bounce. Hmm, that doesn't mean much, but it means as much as you saying the cab does get scratched up. What have I lied about on the camshaft failures, the massive rebates or the Toyota quality problems? Please I want examples. If you do not give examples that will clearly show that you are lying and wrong and a hypocrite. I believe that is a fair statement.
Hey Punch did you ... ( 1 year ago by krickbaumt)
Hey Punch did you see what the IIHS had to say about the Tundra as compared to other pickup trucks? Here is a quote for you, "pick up trucks received the worst rating for head restraints with only one truck, the Toyota Tundra, receiving a 'Good' rating."
Hey punch guess ... ( 1 year ago by krickbaumt)
Hey punch guess what, the IIHS gave the Tundra considerably better crash ratings than the F150, Ram or the Silverado. They all got the worst rating possible in rear collisions while the Tundra got the best. I guess that would tip that average of yours (between NHTSA and IIHS) in favor of the Tundra. Ahh its good to be on top in every category.

Hey, I just read ... ( 1 year ago by YUOGLE)
Hey, I just read that Consumer Reports gave Tundra a "Not Recommended" rating...but it gave Silverado and F150 a "Recommended" and "Recommended- Best Buy" rating.
Punch, nice new ... ( 1 year ago by krickbaumt)
Punch, nice new name, yea yea yea on the Consumer Reports, already took care of that one with there pick for best 1/2 ton full size truck... the Honda Ridgeline. I thought you would be interested in this though, from Tom Krisher of the AP "GM's top-selling pickups, the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, saw declines of more than 20 percent, while the Toyota Tundra jumped 146.3 percent."
Hey Punch can you ... ( 1 year ago by krickbaumt)
Hey Punch can you give me one reputable review that places the F150 ahead of the Tundra? It seems to me that if the Tundra is such a bad truck that it should be viewed as such by the major automobile publications. Otherwise I guess it would stand to say that the F150 is a really really bad truck?
I know you are ... ( 1 year ago by krickbaumt)
I know you are going to say Consumer Reports and frankly I am perfectly fine with CR thinking the F150 is better than the Tundra (which I am taking your word that this is what they said, I left the webpage when I saw the Ridgeline was there pick for best 1/2 ton pick up truck).
So let's go ahead ... ( 1 year ago by krickbaumt)
So let's go ahead and define reputable (in the context of automobile publications giving reviews of trucks) as any publication that does not pick the Ridgeline as it's top pick for 1/2 tons.

Tundra was a low ... ( 9 months ago by Junolalo)
Tundra was a low base number to start with so the percentage increase is somewhat arbitrary. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next 3 or 4 years with the truck market. My opinion is that the Tundra will slow down but steadily increase. The other truck manufacturers will start seeing steady increases also due to the fact all this competition will draw more people in to buy trucks.
Virtually no ... ( 9 months ago by krickbaumt)
Virtually no segment related to selling products and goods is going to see an steady increase if the economy continues to worsen. Truck sales will be impacted the same as any other market, it will worsen at roughly the same rate the overall economy does.
Forgive me for ... ( 9 months ago by krickbaumt)
Forgive me for going on the forecasts for our economy. The economy is expected go through some rough times for at least the next two years. This would mean lower profits for the automobile companies... something that could be very problematic for companies such as Ford and GM who were already losing BILLIONS when the economy was seeing consistent strong growth.
