Richard Dawkins on the strangeness of science: TEDTalks
Uploaded by: TEDtalksDirector
Video Description:
http://www.ted.com Mind-expanding talk that probes the limits of human understanding: Why can't we see atoms? Why can't we hear color? How can we understand randomness? Dawkins suggests that the true nature of the universe eludes us because the human mind has evolved mainly to understand other humans -- and to look for human motives even in natural processes. Thus, we create a humanlike God to explain phenomena we can't otherwise comprehend; right or wrong, we're simply wired for it. Dawkins is Oxford's Professor for the Public Understanding of Science, and the author of the landmark 1976 book The Selfish Gene and the 2006 bestseller The God Delusion. (Recorded July 2005 in Oxford, UK)

Its like me saying because there are different political systems they are all wrong..doesnt make sense.
"blindly adhere to such dogma" how bigoted u assume im a Christian and so cant think, dont be so elitist. like i said "if u tell me im going to die one day should i be offended by the truth no ok"
"dogmatic claims made by religion." how can u make a statement like that by lumping wrong with right thats not smart. "Keep your delusions private." rude statements dont do anything..i wonder how much research youve done on this
"Hard scientific evidence in scripture? Where?" i didnt mention scientific evidence though Scripture shows no inconsistency with this. I was more taling about historical evidence. "Lumping wrong with right" argue against one belief at a time if u cant for your own. "I've done enough."..no u have
nt all youve done is called me dumb and said im wrong without any argument
The great flood has some historical evidence of its happening. Where does the Bible say the earth is 6000 years old..it doesnt.
"You haven't provided any evidence at all." no i havent im waiting for u to make an argument instead of statements how about this: who do u think Jesus is?
Re: Large Hadron Collider - The Search For The Higgs The building and testing of the Hadron Collider is the madness that science comes to without reverent awe for life and existence. Peter Kropotkin was not a religious man by any means. But he loved Humanity and reverenced life. So, his approach
to science as described in FIELDS, FACTORIES & WORKSHOPS was spot on.
I am not a Luddist or a Primitivist. But without wisdom science comes to delerium. D2
Its not a cop out question. Its a valid question to ask what u think..so then obcviously u believe he just died and thats it. So what do you say to the gospels and other scriptures in NT whats wrong with their account why is it not valid?
