The UFO phenomena is real. There is enough evidence to back this claim up: radar, trace evidence, expert eye-witness testimony. There is no proof it is 'extraterrestrial', at least not in the public realm. This said mainstream science simply ignores the phenomena.

I work in post-production studio with all the compositing software when we do commercials/films.

This is what makes it so difficult to use pictures or video today, to convince anyone. However back in 1964, with Dr Jacobs' incident, I don't think that was the case.

lord69z: Again the ignorance! Today the means of faking UFO videos is rampant. However, 20, 30, 40, 50, years ago that wasn't the case. There was a few standard ways in which they could be done, models, reflections of lights on glass, throwing an object in the air & snapping a picture, etc. Many pics have been proven fake. Many pics continue to stump even the best photo analysis of today.
In the end it doesn't matter. No evidence is good enough for the 'scepti-bunkers'.

I have to admit, Jacobs' attacks on Bill Nye are pretty ugly and uncalled for. Nye is just providing an opposing viewpoint, something which shouldn't be a threat to anyone who thinks the evidence is solid. I've seen arrogant scientists and debunkers... i don't find Nye to be one of them. I thought he was pretty respectful and level headed. I think the guests' conclusions about who shuts down the missiles and why may well be true, but I wasn't crazy about their mistreatment of Nye.
