Willie, suggest you get your facts right. Salsa originates from a blend of other rhythms, including Cuban son music, and continues to evolve. In terms of the dancing, Cuban, LA, and New York (on 2) are just some of the recognised dance styles, just as Puerto Rican salsa is one of the recognised musical styles.
Just lighten up and enjoy the music!!!

I know the whole history of salsa. Many rhythms were brought together to make the music. Who put it together, Puerto Ricans in New York. Whether I'm right or your right, the guy is wrong.

ú and a Colombian friend told me about this group. Proving that although Salsa originated in Cuba it is now truly international. Great stuff guys, if you ever come to Cusco...... :)
