I love the pst5's. I have the pst5 universal set myself. Very affordable and high quality cymbals. I recommend them for advanced drummers on a budget.

Nah, for 8" I prefer a short 'chink' sound rather than a sustained one. It can really take a beating, and it's cheap, so I'm not too concerned about it breaking. I'm not hitting it directly either, you can't see my arm with the tight camera anyway.

Hey, I have a kit at home and i've cracked all my cymbals after like 3 years lol. I dont play that much drums anymore but I still just wana muck around. I play metal and i want like the lower end cymbals but not beginner. eg. ZBT's, Xs20's. But as I would like them to favor metal. Thanks in advance

For metal you might try some older Paiste 802s, they are heavier and can take more of a beating.

The 802's I believe were at the high end of the old Paiste budget line (302, 404, 505, 802).

Yeah that is true. But just think, the old budget lines were much higher quality than those of today.
