Not quite a final Creedence Clearwater Revival gig 1988

Here's an obscure musical performance I stumbled upon. I was told this was the very last performance of Creedence Clearwater Revival in November 1983. If this was correct, it would have been the 20th reunion of the class of 1963 from the El Cerrito High School at the Concord Inn in El Cerrito, CA.
However, I've been informed that this is actually the 1988 25th anniversary of the 1963 class of El Cerrito High School. This would be a semi-reunion of Creedence Clearwater Revival, featuring only John Fogerty and Doug Clifford. Stu Cook was not part of this event, nor was Tom Fogerty. The ban
d was not billed as CCR, but the original band name of the Blue Velvets. They perform 4 songs on this video - Born On The Bayou, Bad Moon Rising, Baby What do you Want Me to Do, and Good Golly Miss Molly. The quality is mediocre, and I have no idea who the original camera operator was. This mu

I think he still lives in the Bay Area, people who have met him have said he's a down to earth guy. This helps justify it...it's good to know he didn't feel he was too good to attend the HS reunion, let alone play at it. Usually they're bitter and frustrated at their school to do anything like this.

Don't understand Megegre's comment -Doug looks fine to me.. as far as I understood the guys were't big druggies. John not at all.
THis is an astounding clip. It has to be '88 as John didn't start playing CCR stuff again until '87. Amazing that Doug and John were on the same stage as recently as '88- too bad they could all bury the feud.

Wow - what a find. JF is one of THE great American songwriters / performers (even if he is - here - reduced to playing at his high school reunion in a Holiday Inn. And to all his detractors - get real. Stu Cooke and Doug Clifford were and are competent back-up musicians. They've had 30 years to make it on theor own and they've only ever managed to make a living off of JF's hits. Sad.

I Had The Opertunity To See John Fogerty During His Blue Moon Swamp Tour In Memphis Tenn.OMG He Rocked And My Brother Was Married At The Concert,Well Just Outside The Stadium Right Before The Concert Started. A Couple Months Later I Had The Opertunity To See Creedence Clearwater Revisited Here In My Town,I Also Took My Mom She Was 72 At The Time And Stu Cook Came Over To The Side Of The Stage And Shook Her Hand During Performance. My Whole Family Has Always Loved CCR As A Whole Or Not.
