Yes!
I remember that too. It had a bunch of scenic shots (including a guy fly fishing) and an overhead view of the Queen Street crossing by the Civic being crossed by a swarm of pedestrians. I'm trying to remember how the song went. It may have been an upbeat version of the national anthem sung by How
ard Morrison.

Yeah, it was very contemporary (for the late 80s / early 90s) I think it started with a guy singing, then another guy doing the Maori verse, and then a choir coming in from there? It was all a bit one hand on the heart and hold up your lighter hehe.

I'm 100% sure it was the national anthem and Howard Morrison sang the Maori verse.
*funky trumpet overture* "Mennnnn of every creeeeed and raaaaace, gather here before Thy faaaaace. Asking Thee to bless this plaaaaaace, God defend our free-ee-eee laaaand!!!"

Mum used to get angry when as a 5 year old I used to demanded to see "the kiwi off to sleep" in the middle of the night.
She got sick of me waiting all night for it, she recorded on the VCR and play it during my bedtime. Mum still has the tape for the grandkids she said LOL

I will always remember the good night kiwi, it was the good times in NZ, it was peaceful, tourism hadnt taken off and Sunday trading wasnt allowed so our parents had no choice but to find ways to entertain us on a Sunday afternoon, it was the golden time in our history, I will always look fondly on this time of my childhood, thank you soooo much for posting this!
