Car and Driver Comparison test between Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (E90), Nissan GT-R, Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR, and Porsche 911 GT2 (997). I consider this comparo to be uneven because for the price of the 911 GT2, you can purchase the Z06 AND the GT-R. The Porsche GT2 is undoubtedly the best car here. The GT-R is also an excellent car.
My personal ratings: Porsche 911 GT2- 11/10 Corvette Z06- 8/10 Nissan GT-R- 10/10 Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR- 8/10

wat makes everyone think these test are so far of from the truth if your gonna buy the s550 for its ride quality luxury and name i would def buy it but look at every big name and the gtr beats the s550 and the s65 actually all of these do and the carrera s may handle better put it has no power and handles w/o power dosent mean a lot, and if you notice everyone says the gtr is easy to drive fast and forgiving it would be easy to drive it on the road

i would probably end up with the viper with if i had 100k, maybe a carrera 2s because corners are the best part, the 356b was fun to drive. of course the gt-r will beat the 5000 lb s-klasse on a track, but the smooth shape and huge power/torque will actually favor the s65 on a highway, the acr has tons of drag, the gt-r simply doesnt have that power, the zr1 might keep up, and the closely priced gt2 wouldnt beat it either. the s klasse can slalom faster than a mclaren f1 (kinda strange, 2800 lbs

A stock gt5oo runs mid 12's, stock zo6's run consitent low 11's. Tell me i what way is the gtr better? Because I just can' see how a 2 ton nissan is better in performance, gas mileage, reliability, and track prowess, not to mention looks, sound, and the rush. The main things they were made for.

you arent listening, i said that i have seen videos of gt500 beating z06 on youtube. And if have money to buy a gtr or z06 gas mileage doesnt really matter and reliabilty is a personal thing to me i wouldnt give a fuck, and although the gtr defies the laws of physics it still gets a 1/4 mile of 11.5 the same as the z06 except prob easier to perform.Look at every big name and it would prove consitenent that the gtr is faster than the z06 and easier to go fast and looks and sound are all opinion

no one seems to mention that the gtr does not come with a manual gear box. i have seen plenty of videos of zo6 vs gtr and the z06 walks away from the gtr but the vettes were all manual shift. how about race automatic vs automatic to be fair.

the gtr's gearbox is not an automatic. Its a dual clutch automated manual so regardless of whether or not theres a clutch pedal, its still a manual transmission and is faster shifting than any standard manual. So its plenty fair, in fact its a disadvantage to the vette for having a standard tranny

The New nsx will be faster then the gtr. There first attempt was only few seconds slower on the track then the gtr.
