That sounds fairly accurate, Marilyn was depressed during this time and was drinking heavily and taking a lot of pills on set. Usually in that state, people don't exactly place hygiene as their highest priority.

She didn't have lip under her chin, she had a sliver of cartilage inserted into her chin (she had a nickname, 'the chinless wonder'). The cartilage dissolved into her system after 3 years though.

Marilyn Monroe looks stunning in the random footage, photographs and home movies taken on the set during the filming of this Movie, however, MGM sucked at filming this movie themselves. Everyone looks bleached out and 2 dimensional. They should have filmed it in color, like 'The 7 Year Itch'. To see a video that does Marilyn Justice, watch "Marilyn's Treasure" on my channel!

in addition to all her other problems, she had a miscarriage while filming the movie, so we can understand that pain shows. but she and her curves were and are still beautiful.

Have you seen the german original from 1951 called "Fanfaren der Liebe"? Even though it lacks the budget, craftsmanship and masterpiece music of Some Like It Hot it is interesting to see where Billy Wilder drew his inspiration from. And then there`s a sequel called "Fanfaren der Ehe" from 1953, like the original fully packed with german starpower, playin on a cruise ship. Nevertheless, Marilyn was never more beautiful, Lemmon and Curtis never funnier. "Nobody`s perfect" but this movie!!!

ya marilyn and tony were in a big relationship before they filmed the movie but they broke up.... so while they were filming marilyn would always show up late and she wouldnt be herself because tony was there. that caused her depression ad her drug problem
