Thank you for the comments I do appreciate ART as ITS BEST and this film does not match that at all I have seen other films that are not spiritually uplifting BUT DID NOT RESORT to SUCH GRAFIC IMAGES of violence I saw the Assassination of Jesse James and found far better than this film and it is far from being a happy golucky kind of film sorry

The movie is about a violent situation in a vilent world. It's about how implacable life and reality are no matter how we feel about it. So it had to be graficly violent. Not all as to be wraped in pink paper for your consumption

Do you know what I am referring to when I discuss the term art? Violence in its self, does not make a movie more artistic, and it certainly does not contribute to excellence of this film. First and foremost, this film is a work of art in its use of cinematography, you know how the camera guy films stuff? Did you ever notice the beautiful compositions living within each frame. No, of course not, you were fixated on the blood and gore.

Thank you for the comments again I gree about the cinematography but as I wrote many times I do no like this movie at all as a whole did not deserve an Oscar as best film nobody will convince me the contrary I gave like the Sapanish actor's performance though he incarnate this character brilliantly VIOLENCE IS NOT ART

You not liking the movie is one thing. Saying he doesn't deserve any awards is others. The quality of this movie is independent of your opinion. There are lots of movies i don't like at all but i am humble enough to admit they are good, don't go around saying cause i don't like them they're not good or artistic, or shouldn't be on the oscars. so many fucking morons on here, lol. OMFG THE MOVIE SUCKED NOT ENOUGH RAPING, POOR STORY LINE, NO PLOT. I'm not a movie phanatic at all, but the movie had a great plot, storyline, and great acting. All you idiots who don't understand it and hate it obviously must love the worst movies out there like Halloween and Friday the 13th and Brokeback Mountain. Those are the worst and gayest movies!
