this makes the neocons and the Republican politicians/agenda in general look too good. what this report doesn't tell you is that the whole Neocon philosophy, going back to Leo Strauss, is centered around the idea of building up a false threat ("terrorism"). Clinton had Al Qaeda under wraps. Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz (and Bush by conversion - he's a puppet) intentionally allowed 9/11 to happen.

Flaminghound, youre a flamin' idiot. It's absolutely proposterous to suggest that the U.S. president knowingly and willingly allowed terrorist attacks to occur on 9/11. Bush had more than enough reason to go after al-Qaeda and the Taliban (USS Cole, U.S. Embassy bombing in Kenya,etc.)--sacrificing U.S. citizens was neither desirable nor necessary. But that makes too much sense doesn't it?

It's far easier to latch onto conspiracy theories because, well, they're based on simple explanations that are perfectly compatible with the simple mind.

america allowed the japanese to attack the united states in WWII order to mobilize the pacifists into a war that was necessary. They just didnt know pearl harbor would be the target. Its rash to say that the united states had anything to with 9/11, but its also naive to believe that everything is as simple as our leaders make it seem.

note well. that whilst you squabble over whether or not the attack on al-queada was justified or not... i bring in exhibit A. iraq. show the american public the evidence justifying the pre-emptive rape of a already humbled nation. they say americans are stupid - please. prove me wrong! BTW. saddam's sentenced to death. for crimes that were overlooked/swept under the carpet during the reagan administration. but i ask you this, people: where is osama bin laden? where is his punishment?

There's no verifiable proof the US had knowledge of an imminent Japanese attack prior to the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Some signs point to that(prior knowledge) being the case, but there are just as many indications that it wasn't. The U.S. was in isolationist mode in the days leading up to WWII, so it is conceivable that Washington allowed Pearl Harbor to happen so as to have an excuse to go to war--but again, we'll never know.

Having said that though, my point was this: the U.S., after the USS Cole incident and the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Kenya, already possessed reason enough to wage war. Even if you believe that Washington was cold and callous enough to allow an attack like 9-11 (which I honestly believe is ludicrous), you must understand that such drastic measures were not necessary to go after al-Qaeda.
