typo: 'according', not accordind.
I even get my typo's typos wrong. Top that!
James - sorry but a ... ( 1 week ago by ZoeMarks)
James - sorry but a video is a video. It is not proof. I can show you videos of ghosts, UFOs and demons if you like as proof too. Need to reference a proper scientific study. But then again you wouldn't know what one was.
James: I must ... ( 1 week ago by ZoeMarks)
James: I must apologies. I found a reference to an archeological dig in Mesopotamia from 1987. It seems they found a long (3.5meters) brass cylinder with lenses at both ends mounted on a tripod buried in a sand drift. They carbon dated the brass at about 4,700 years old. Also they found engravings on the side that said the makers name and the date "Ancient Sumerian Lens Company 2611 B.C." So I guess you were right all along.

ZoeMarks-
The video is convincing- but as usual, if it doesn't land in your lap- I guess it's not true.

Are you sure it was brass? Oh wait..hang on DOH!
so- zzQwerty, you ... ( 1 week ago by p101James)
so- zzQwerty, you never answered me when I asked if you lost your girlfriend to someone supposedly astrologically more compatable?
Don't get me wrong- the relationship should come first. Not astrology. But people seldom learn enough about real astrology to make a definite judgement. I can just see your Ex- going, "He's a Sagittarius- and were more compatable." "Sorry, but I'm dropping you for him." Lol!
LOLjames: I would ... ( 1 week ago by zzytrewq)
LOLjames: I would never go out with someone so shallow and poorly educated that they made judgments based on astrology. Dating people with religious convictions is bad enough. At least religion has helped shape the world. Astrology is for the blinkered and ignorant.
James I found the ... ( 1 week ago by ZoeMarks)
James I found the video & watched it. Looked like the sort of stuff Erich Von Danikan put together for his rubbish book "Chariots of the Gods". So many assumptions made from a set of symbols on an ancient seal. There was nothing in the video at all that I haven't seen numerous times on websites devoted to the Sumerians. It is all the same, blind worship of a great civilizations, that is supposed to lend credence to astrology. Mildly interesting historical stuff mixed with lots of myths.
Zoe: I used to ... ( 1 week ago by zzytrewq)
Zoe: I used to have that book. It was quite well put together. It wasn't until I read the subsequent books debunking it that I realized how gullible one can be when young. I've watched many of the videos on Sumerian stuff - mostly nonsense interpretations. If you can find stuff on what they were supposedly like (and there isn't much) it makes interesting reading.

ZoeMarks-
You found the wrong video. Because the name of the video was "Ancient Sumerian History". And it has been removed from YoTube.
It can not be found anywhere with that title.
Show Show Show me where that video under "that" specific title can be found.
Ancient Sumerian Cuniform writing (abouty 2800 B.C.), is deciferrable today for the most part. Tell me which video refers to the "Twin Blue-Green Giants". Only "Ancient Sumerian History" has it that I know of.
Array ( 6 days ago by p101James)
zzQwerty-
And how the hell would you know what video ZoeMarks was referring to to say you read the book? There are numerous videos on Sumerian history. Which one did he see?
Because neither of you are talking about "Ancient Sumerian History". Even a book by that common name does not make it the video under that name.

I think zz meant "Chariots of the Gods".
It's not like it was all fiction, but doubtfully all fact. A lot of loose interpretation of extra-terrestrials, but no doubt they too were here many many many centuries ago.

LOLJames: Read my post again you dork. I was referring to Chariots of the Gods. Why must you jump to the wrong conclusion and assume everyone is wrong but you? Cranky old fart.

LOLjames: "no doubt they [aliens] too were here many many many centuries ago." No wonder you believe in astrology... Sounds like you'll believe in anything that comes along. What on earth did you get for an education? Please enlighten me, you are a surprise a minute...

LOLJames: See rule 5. Plus I don't bite. Astrology Rules: Rule 1 - Astrologers can't agree on the rules Rule 2 - Slag science as a distraction Rule 3 - Misquote famous people Rule 4 - Avoid real supporting evidence Rule 5 - Get personal when cornered Rule 6 - See rules 1-5

I would refer to "old farts" as someone older than I. I am 52.
It is almost certain you will not share your current age (in years ) with us.
But please- Let us all know, you old ____year-old fart.
I'll bet you watched new episodes of "Leave it to Beaver", long after you were potty trained. Cool.
Array ( 3 days ago by p101James)
zzQwerty-
Your 5 notes on astrology are all untrue, with maybe a minor exception for "some" slight deisagreeance on sidereal or tropical astrology, and maybe the choice of House systems which vary only ever so slightly- but on rare occaisions 'can' make a difference.
Give me the name of "one" astrologer who was proven to intentionally misquote a famous person. Astrology has a myriad of famous persons standing "for" astrology before and after Newton's time.
LOLjames: Rule 3 ... ( 3 days ago by zzytrewq)
LOLjames: Rule 3 says: "Misquote famous people" No where does it say "intentionally misquote a famous person" as you try to imply. I'll name one astrologer who misquotes famous people: LOLjames You misquote lots of things, including our friend Einstein. And dozens of astrology sites do the same.
Array ( 3 days ago by p101James)
zzQwerty-
I am only referring to astrologers who accept
what they have read or heard. There's still only a slight chance that a quote was not a true quote. Otherwise it is still speculation.
Any quote I make is one I myself accept and believe to be from that person. I never intentionaslly misquote anyone (knowingly). Besides- I do not think that anything attributed to Einstein or Newton about astrology was a misquote. Not just because some science minded geek doesn't like it.

James: I know how old he is. Type the following a 100 times on YouTube and I'll tell you: "Einstein thought astrology was nonsense and definitely never said any of the quotes falsely attributed to him."
