Ok...so first you said Frusciante doesn't belong in the same room as Trucks or Mayer and now you're saying he's better than Mayer? That's probably why people don't think you know what you're talking about...Plus the fact that you think you know who's better.

Hey man maybe if you think you know guitar why don't we just throw in some Joe Sat. and maybe a little John Petrucci and start comparing them to Frusciante and Mayer and see who's better? Yeah. Right. Can't be done. Because all 4 play so differently and are masters of their own guitar playing.

It's unfortunate the John had to play with these two blues players. They blow John out of the water on THIS occasion but, while I dont know who is the "best" I prefer to listen to Frusciante, then Mayer, the Trucks.

what are you talking about? john mayer is the only one playing the hard solos in this video..everyone else is playing a few rhythm chords..i dont know who is better either..but in this video..its def. john mayer

I meant Joh FRUSCIANTE in case you were wondering. That probably confused some people because there are two John's here. and Trucks' solos may not be hard but anyone who is into slide would appreciate them more than Mayer/Frusciante

This video wasn't about showing who's the best guitarplayer. Just a interview with some soft jam. That is not Frusiantes sound at all, and he just got along with same simple bluerytm. I prefer John frusciante because im inlove with his sound and the whole RHCP. But i like the other two guys, they are great bluesguitarplayers, and probably great on others styles too :)

I disagree. You're right when you say the guitar has more capabilities than a solo. Tell me how he exceeds them in depth, and what is beyond a guitar solo? Playing a good rhythm guitar is much easier than nailing a solo. You sound like minded. All 3 are excellent players. Only one of them has been playing with clapton for the last year(for a good reason:soloing capabilities) and his name is derek trucks.
