ok... since 2004, Mariah was always asked about her deteriorating (fading away) voice and she said she has nodules that allow her to do the whistle note but they are damaged. She said she was offered surgery to fix the nodules in her throat and if it all goes well, she'll have her old voice back. Not the same as 1990 but powerful enough. But it will threaten the chance of her doing the whistle note again.
