Video Description:
Gogol Bordello performs "Start Wearing Purple" from their album "Gypsy Punks: Underdog World Strike" at the Music Box at the Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on August 28, 2007. After nearly getting killed in the mosh pit at Coachella during Gogol Bordello's amazing performance earlier in the year (look for my video of "Start Wearing Purple" from Coachella on YouTube, too), I opted this time for the safety of the balcony, allowing me to take a much more stable video. Oh, and the man in the baseball cap standing and rocking out in front of me (you can see him towards the end of the video) is Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello. Pretty cool. ohhhhh myyyyy gooood. I just got back from the show. FUCKING MINDBLOWING. They are undoubtedly the best live band I've ever seen. They played a 6-goddamn-song-encore! I think Eugene said it was their first ever encore, but I didn't really hear him, and I find that hard to believe. I got to shake Sergey's and Eugene's hands too! I'm going to take off my beer-and-wine covered shirt now and pass out. :D
