You know you win.. I just wanted to have a civil chat about the subject. I see you're touched on that side and I'm sorry. I'm no blog gangsta and try to respect people views with opposing ones. But you do your thing Bee! Probably never been to NY anyway to even have say in this, but you keep on with the misinformation and listening to Soldier Boy. I bet you got that on your phone. Nobody shut MC LYTE down. There was nobody who could hang with Lyte after she desrtoyed Antonette on "Shut the eff up". JJ FAD just had a nice hit, but they tried to battle Lyte and got smashed. Good points though.

I feel you. I just wanted to weigh in on the discussion. I'm 29 so i'm from that era of hip hop. Some of the young cats only know about Lyte and Golden Era hip hop becuase of youtube. It's always good to get perspective from those who around when this music was out in 1988.

Man there was a chick down with Master Don and The Death Comittee (Master Pee got Ohh Nana nah from them). Pebbly Poo, seek her out on The Tube. She was nice in early 80's. Pre record era it would have to be a toss up betiween Lisa Lee (Zulu Nation) and Sha Rock (Funky 4+1). Remember I said pre record era. Bruh they even had a crew call Mercedes Ladies that rocked at Cold Crush Jams.

I apreaciate that you dig in the music from it's truest form. My first show I went to was at The Savoy Manor on 149th and Gerard Ave (Bx). It was Cold Crush,Flash and some other cats. I was only 14 (Big for my age)and I was open from there. My(Grey)suede British Walkers, Lee suit(flairs)on and Mock Neck. Fam you could'nt tell me nothing.
