Hi guys, I have a 8800GTS, and I have a Toshiba Regza 42" LCDTV, I was trying to use 1920x1080, but I can't, cuz VGA cable only could go up to 1280x1024, so if I have a VGA to HDMI cable, would that work the way up to 1920x1080 resolution? please let me know. I'm appreciate you helps!!!

the 8800gts has a 2 dvi ports though? get a dvi to hdmi adapater, then use a hdmi cable to your lcdtv, that should get 1080p (1920x1080)

yea, just bought an DVI to HDMI cable for PC. bought one HDMI cable for my ps3. see 10% better than 1080i. kinda changing to all good cable. also changed to optical cable for PS3. very easy and clear sound. unlink those need 2 cable still don't get surround sound. thanks tho!

Im considering selling my 8800 GTS 640mb for two GTX 260s since it will be more powerful than one GTX 280. I wonder if any of you guys want to upgrade from your 8800 GTSes.

I am using an ASUS 8800GTS 512MB It is a verry good graphics card! Overclocked it without problems to Shader 1800, core 740 ,2068 Mhz Memory No voltage increase GTS is cheaper than the GTX 260s or one GTX 280

Thats a great card. Much better than my G80 GTS. People recently have been talking about micro-stuttering. Since I am running SLi, I know it exists with games like Crysis and ut3. I know and its been said that with the new GTX 280 and 260 the stuttering has been eliminated. I can afford 2 260s and only 1 GTX 280 (maybe 2 but that would be overkill for my paycheck) lol. I am waiting for the price cuts if there are any from Nvidia on the 260 now that the 4780s have launched.

It depends on your budget. If you have not a high update budget, than i would go for the 8800GTS (G92) 512MB (Prefer OC version) If you have a high update budget, i would really go for the GTX 280

8800gts because i saw in the benchmark that 8800m gts is better than dual 8700m. I saw it somewhere in the nvidia website. Ill find it for you if you want but im too lazy to bother right now.
