its true, it does seem to be a lot about taglines and flag-waving and not politics. but at the same time, when there are celebrities who are intelligent and interested and passionate about the politics and state of their country i guess it can be helpful to let them speak in public endosring this or that person, this or that charity etc- in a country so obssessed with celebrity it probably, hopefully, does more good than harm.
