huh? what do u mean u can be good without ATs? sure if everyone played without ATs there would still be good players and bad players, but if sum1 who doesnt use any ATs(which is a pretty broad term btw)fought someone who uses all of them the person who doesnt use them would lose

no you misunderstood me, what i meant was that some people say that pros are nothing without there AT's which is not true, just like 1235096a said, all pros have a strong fundamental base, AT's are just icing on the cake

wavedashing is useless in so many ways, like this video showed, ok the falco vs young link, being the a player of both them, and knowing how to use the wavedash, falco has crazy good reach with that kick, if the falco would have tried to hit on contect like a real falco player should, younglink's attack would have been ether broken through or canceled out, and for the ganon wavedash move, a short hop with L-cancel, could pull the same thing, wavedashing is useless for real SSBM players.

Fine, come down to michigan and I'd be much more than happy to show you how to use wavedashing and techniques properly becaue if you aren't samrt enough to use them you probably don't know how to play the game at all either.
My credentials: I have beaten Scotu's marth,and fox. I 2 stocked Dope's DK and I only got 1 stocked by Vidjogamer. If those names aren't ringing a bell then you don't even have half a clue about anything in this game at all. Also, I have played Mew2King but he butt raped.

No, because Sakurai's a self-righteous prick who thought it necessary to kill the competitive community... ...yeah, I don't like Sakurai, if you can't tell. Nor do I like Brawl. Wak, awesome video. I really want to learn all of these techniques and improve so I stand a chance in competitive play (and to mindgame my friends) and this helps a lot.

In this first video, only short hopping and fast falling are in Brawl. But no L-canceling. You gotta learn a technique called auto-canceling.

But you can't Short Hop Fastfall auto cancel. You can only SH FF or SH AC thats all. That also makes brawl slower.

They're all a whole lot worse than they were in Melee. Short Hopping isn't as short, and fast falling isn't as fast. And as ETWIST pointed out, you can't SHFFL, or SHFFA as it would be.

Not only it's good for competition but it's fun to be able to combo like pro with these techniques.
