americans do build really powerful engines, but they are shit, because if you compare a american v8 with a european v8, the european is going to beat its ass like nothing, like ur saying that an sti or evo will beat an american v8 is in snowstorm, so that shows how bad the american engines are, they have to make a 8 cylinder car to beat a 4 cylinder car.

im trying to understand why they referred to the STi as "Godzilla". the true "Godzilla" among japanese cars is simply the Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R. it was giving the nickname years ago when it was first released and its the only Skyline to recieve that name and stick to it

OK folks. We are comparing an American Musclecar to a Japanese technomobile. American Musclecars go like hell in a straight line. They aren't engineered to hit turns like the Euro's or Japs. It's all about what YOU (wherever or whoever you are) want to do. Go fast in a line or zip around turns. These are two very different machines.

tcp2150 I have to disagree. That is not the case for all American Musclecars. Road and Track paired up the Corvette Z06 against the Acura NSX, and the Z06 outperformed the NSX in every respect. I think you have to look a car individually rather than stereotype it and assume it can't do something other than go in a straight line.

These people are right, These are two very different machines. Depending on either what you like best or what is best for you in handling and power is the answer to which car is probably better. (and that GTO should have been much quicker in the quarter mile)

Makroslr the difference between American and European V8's is that American V8's don't need a $4000 oil change every 8 weeks. Also you're comparing an STi and an Evo to just a V8? I'm flattered. Yes your right, It is actually a Holden Monaro rebadged as a GTO for sale in the US. The car is built in Australia.
