Now that the Irish have had their belch, let's get on with the second vote! Now , that we have had time to think, who's pushing our buttons, we'll do the right thing next time,

for someone who comes from little better than a 3rd world country you have some brass neck to come on you tube and talk about EU funding.... you lot couldn't even find Maddie McCann an then tried to frame everyone to get yourselves off the hook...muppet...

There is NO second vote in a referendum. People vote and you abide by the result.like the poor suckers would have had to if the vote had gone the other way. To even say 2nd vote is to show such complete contempt for you people that you deserve whatever they would do to you.

there won't be a second vote...they will try to push it through without another referendum, with some bullshit story about having secured a better deal...i hope people in this country are beginning to wake up to the muppets running it...and the other so called 'opposition' parties.....if they try this spin on lisbon,as alan partridge said they deserve what they get,and so do we if we let them away with it...if it means civil disorder so be it...they ned to stop treating the people with contempt..
I voted No to ... ( 1 month ago by scraggymess)
I voted No to Lisbon for the following reasons: 1.
I do not want to be part of a European superstate with it's own Army, Flag and President.
2. The reason for Ireland's prosperity in recent years is because of our low taxes and free market policies. The EU is trying to build a Command Economy which is run from an undemocratic centre.
3. 90% of the 40bn Ireland has 'recieived' since '73 has gone on CAP payments to farmers - Ireland now imports 75% of its food and 80% of it's fish. CAP = joke!
There is a massive ... ( 1 month ago by scraggymess)
There is a massive democratic deficit at the heart of the EU. The voters of the European Nations rejected the Nice treaty and in the only nation given a vote on Lisbon have now rejected it again - If ireland is asked to vote again it will be rejected again!
Who is setting the Agenda at the heart of the EU? Who wanted this treaty? Who will it benefit most? Not me or my nation-the power centre of the EU has been hijacked and is now greedy for more power-I want no part of this EU. Time to leave!
'Europe has been ... ( 1 month ago by scraggymess)
'Europe has been good for Ireland' is the single greatest propoganda coup in Irish history. We now have Farmer's who can't farm but get paid to fill in forms whilst we import 75%of its food - we have dairy farmers who throw away their milk because of EU quotas while Ireland imports 80% of yoghurt from Germany! Our fishermen can't fish and yet our seas are being plundered. Until 2003 we were self sufficient in sugar but the EU paid to dismantle that industry so we now import all sugar fr Frnce/Ger
we need the EU like ... ( 1 month ago by scraggymess)
we need the EU like we need Leprosy. We don't need their regulation, we dont need their food, we don't need their money, we don't need their army, we don't need their trade (60% of our trade is with US and GB - just 28% of our trade is with the EU) we don't need their currency.
'Trade and commerce with all nations but binding treaties with none' Thomas Jefferson.
We are a low tax and low regulation economy that is exceptionally business friendly - the polar opposite of the EU.

Now our old mate Dick Roche wants another referendum,Cowen must of let him off the leash to test the waters see public reaction, seems to be the way he plans to do business,he did the same with the ESRI report about property tax and then denied he had any plans when he saw the backlash, this is how it will start to try to wear us down to vote yes, frightening us with the economic slowdown and getting others to throw their'personal opinion not government policy' into the media to test the water...

Any government who let people like Beverly Flynn back into their ranks.. and i see that Liam Kelly, the fianna fail cokehead councillor in the papers being touted for TD...this is a man who expects us to believe that he was rolling a ciggarette after being caught on camera...personally i've never seen anyone roll one with their nose before..?.. so how do we believe or trust these people on something as important as the Lisbon Treaty and the future of our country...???
Who can somebody ... ( 1 month ago by Ben5021)
Who can somebody say the EU did nothing for Ireland? The EU paied over 50.000.000.000 Euro in the past. I'm so sad that Ireland votes with no. Europe needs the Lisbon Treaty! Only if we stand together, we can compete with the old and new superpowers like russia, USA, China and India! I hope Ireland vote yes in the second referendum, Europe needs you.

Ireland has ... ( 1 month ago by scraggymess)
Ireland has received apprx. 40bn since 1973 - French and Spanish fishermen take approx 2.5bn of fish from Irish waters each year. Ireland 'owes' Europe nothing! The EU wishes to become and empire and and wishes to turn Ireland into a tiny insignificant canton! We will not have a second referendum.! When you and the other fools form your socialist empire please leave us out! We wish to leave! we will have our fishing grounds back too and you can shove your farm quotas up your hole!
I am soooo tempted ... ( 1 month ago by scraggymess)
I am soooo tempted to write what I know about Dick Roche here - how the fuck did we end up with the slipperiest politician in Ireland being Minister for state for Europe? How come there are 8 members of the EU commission with convictions for Fraud? Could it be that certain people in the EU prefer to deal with politicians with dubious backgrounds? Certainly looks that way from here
I'm sad that you ... ( 1 month ago by Ben5021)
I'm sad that you want to leave the EU, but I have good new for you: accept the treaty, and you can leave the EU without any problems. This is one of the EU problems, which will be solved in the Lissabon treaty. Seriously, Ireland can't leave the EU. It would have disastrous consequences. We stand together as europeans, or we will go down against China, India etc. I hope you will see this, before it's too late.

We have no desire to be shackled to a drowning corpse. Feel free to regulate and carbon tax yourselves into oblivion. Feel free to 'harmonise' your ridiculous laws that force every European to lose their national characters. Feel free to let France spend all of your money on unnecessary military projects that serve only to keep the bankrupt French economy afloat - Feel free to choose your unelected and all powerful Commission in secret - We need to be independent now! Like Iceland/Aus/NZ/Norway

defo agree about the french military angle,i think that their going back down the road of empire building and want the rest of us to rubber stamp it and fund it for them,Valery Gistard D'Estaing was the main architect of the document in the various forms they have tried to sell to us,this is the last of DeGaulles henchmen and that whole french arrogance vibe these muppets are still testing atomic weapons on pacific ocean atolls leaving native peoples without a home..i'm remaining in the NO camp.

IBEC and the government aren't doing themselves and any possibility of a yes vote any favours with threatening workers in the latest round of pay talks this morning, pleading 'an beal bocht' isn't going to work this time...every time i hear the word 'competitivenes' i think more money out of my pocket and more in theirs... then i think, fuck the govermment,Fianna Fail and the EU, if this is the new europe they can shove it up their hole ...i don't want any part of it.....

I meat to say in my last post "his fingers in the till"....also reported by the consumers assocation that were paying between 21/45% more that the brits or the rest of the EU for goods....the Government are not doing themselves any favours with the voters if this shit continues....unless someone gets a serious grip on the economic situation in this country very quickly the is going to be serious social unrest and upheaval like Britian in the 90's with the poll tax riots.......
