STAY OFF THE DRUGS! In this lesson MashiMaro and I focus on teaching a technique used by most guitarists (epecially lead guitarists) called hammer-ons and pull-offs or hammer-on pull-off. I'm not too sure how it's said to be honest. Anyway, I forgot to remind you all to stay drug free. So make sure you don't use. Okay?

You really helped me. I saw about 20 videos and none was so clear. I really don't know why some people give the "lesson" tag if they are moving so fast and they don't explain. I'm a beginner ... so... your style is ideal. They only problem is that toy ... you can't move with it :|. So... if you don't like it very very much... please leave it behind in the next lessons. Remember: keep this style... slow and easy. 10x again.

ill have a video soon to show how to :slide,hammer on,pull off,AND TAP! tapping is funn and easy to do and sounds like your puting alot more effort into it but not and you can do it really fast and you can shred...n stuff ya know?

Ok i play piano, just started picking up guitar and i had no clue what the hell a hammer-on or pull-off was. i searched youtube for a few and this guy is the first that actually explained it motion for motion. Plus Mashimaro is the shit so i cant complain none about this video. Excellent lesson for the Guitar Challenged like me!

It will naturally get quieter because believe it or not your fingers are getting tired, and aren't able to hit the notes as hard. It takes lots of practice to build the strength and endurance to have your fingers moving fast and sounding good. Having an amp will make it easier to hear the notes, but you still need to develop the muscles in your hands. The tips of your fingers will develop calluses too, which will make it hurt a lot less when you play.
