Hi multispeedo, I think everybody must love this song, but for the record, it is not a Bavarian Christmas song but derived from the Greek lullaby "heude mou paidi." There are as many versions of the text as there are regions in Germany and Austria, and the one Domingo sings is not at all a sad one, if you follow the text. He and the children give us a beautiful rendition of a lullaby. Best to you and the other viewers for 2007, and thanks to Julia!
