he actually made this album because lost highway said that love is hell was too dark and needed to be a little more rock and roll. he was astonished himself when they loved it and released it. probaly the best piss take ever but it is a good album in its own right

I really like the song (and Ryan) but he sounds like a Ryan Adams tribute band here. I actually am watching the TiVo of the appearance on Later with Jools Holland where he performs this song and he sounds 1000 times better and the band is *much* tighter...none of those crazy errant tones at all.
