Black people are jsut as mch to blame as white, blacks are only 12% of the US population, so when anyone sells big, whether its Pac, Biggie, Eazy E, Kanye, 50, Jay, Wayne, etc, white people are always gonna be the majority of their sales, but that dont mean black people dont buy it either. I didn't even get into it when it was popular; I heard it for the first time in 06 and it immediately struck a deep chord with me. It's damn near spiritual. Kudos to captainMolotov. I first heard this song few months ago and was moved much the same as you wrote about being moved. The song is about real things, not drugged up "super" rappers talking about money drugs are sex nonstop. Whether Talib Kweli was black of white would not matter for shit. Fact is: this song is deep. It's not nessecarily what sells to most of stupid america but it's what we need more of.

I realize that many people love Kanye West and I respect other's opinion, however, check this out for all the people who are not aware of Music Industry Laws; You may like his production but you all don't know how much money he has to pay in order to sample those copywritten songs. For every four bars a producer samples from a song, they have to pay serious money for that. That's called Intellectual Property. People it's better to be original because YOU keep all the financial royalties!
