I am a Muslim and I do think this is a trick of the light. However, this does not mean Islam is fake, it's just a misunderstanding by the video uploader. Islam is based on the teachings contained in the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah, not necessarily in the implementation of Muslims, who by nature are fallible.

We know that the present day concept of Jesus as is found in Christianity never was a reality, but the Islamic Jesus was real. The Islamic Jesus (Isa) - peace be upon him - has some similar qualities to the Chrisitian view, miracles, preaching the word of God, being an exemplary human being etc, but we differ on some major things too, like crucifixion, nativity story, divinity, etc.

Alhamdulillah it's getting safer each year, due to preparation and investment by the Saudis in better infrastructure. Considering the sheer volume of people attending, you have to admit that the relative death count is miniscule. It's a sustained event over 1400 years!
If one dies on Hajj, Allah will treat that person to have been in worship from the moment of death to the day of judgement, inshaAllah, but suicide is a sin, so no Muslim should "try" to die on Hajj or be lax about safety.

If casualties during Hajj indicates God's punishment, what does WW2 indicate? ... God's punishment of the Jews? ... or 9/11? You can't say things like that because you just don't know why God permits or decrees certain things to happen. Islam teaches that life is a set of tests and without being tested how are we to indicate our intentions? Good cannot exist without bad, because good needs something to be contrasted against.
About suicide bombings: ask those that do it, plz don't ask Muslims.

I've already stated that suicide is unIslamic imho, so I couldn't answer for those that differ. However, for you to know the "truth" as it were, you will have to read the scripture yourself (Qur'an/authentic Hadith). Islam is what is defined in the scripture and is not necessarily what people do; humans are weak and fallible.
Maybe the bombers do it out of desperation and weakness. It's not an excuse; it's my opinon. Suicide is not the exclusive domain of misguided, but desperate, Muslims.

Authentic hadith have been verified/accepted as genuine by Islamic scholarship by scrutinising the chains of narration from the recording in written format back to the prophet(p), where there are no missing links in the chain and the integrity of the transmitters is not doubted.
Contrary to what you may think, Muslims do read anti-Muslim literature too. The fact that we aren't phased by it indicates the sense of surety we have in our own understanding. Can you summarise why Allah is a fraud?

I've skimmed over it in the past, but I shall review it again. I doubt very much that it will change anything, because I wasn't convinced the first time round.
The historical method isn't always the best. E.g. immediately after a major incident people will come out and say many things from many perspectives. However, just because they said it first doesn't always make it the truth. They may have had clouded judgement or may have been emotional. That's wh
y we have inquiries later on.

The sahih hadith are reliable purely because they've gone through rigourous scholarship. The source context and transmission chain of every sahih hadith is known and verified, and the integrity of the transmitters too.
For me to accept some alternative propositions, you'd first need to disprove what I already believe to be true. Therefore, just presenting something with the historical method isn't enough, you need to first disprove the authenticy of the sahih hadith with legitimate arguments.
