It's none of your business what other people listen to. Why does it bother you so much? Stop trying to force your tastes on others, how do you know we don't also listen to techno or house? I listen to many different genres from crust punk to death metal to psychedelic trance. I like a lot of things.

Persionally I hope Dubstep never "takes off" as this would lead to another brilliant music genre being ruined by the Money grabbing fatcats of the mainstream music culture. As for you "Killerkaly" get some variety in your music tastes.... House, Techno, Trance, Hardcore??? Can anyone spell sellout? How can you even try to compare Dubstep and those genres? they are completely different. It's like comparing a Chocholate cake to a Curry!!
take it easy dude, ... ( 1 month ago by Filipilibinis)
take it easy dude, this music along with other styles are not mainstream, just like techno a.o. In any style you have got good music it is just a matter of who made it, if its made out of love for music it isnt sellout, if the persons intent is to make money out of his work then you can call it sellout, and that can be found in any genre. But dont diss techno for sellout because you are too narrowheaded to like it. BTW dubstep is tha bomb!!!

Learn how to spell... It seems that the IQ of techno and hardcore fans is pretty low in comparison to Dubstep and Drum & Bass listeners.

Same, i would hate for the people in the streets all listning to dubstep, it would kill its underground popularity. If it were to become mainstream i personally would still listen to it, but nothing popular :)

I agree it'd be a shame to see dubstep blow up, get big, and sell out...but to stop listening to if it does become 'popular' seems silly, que no?

It would be the worst thing that could happen to dubstep, mainstream is gash and makes it seem you only listen to it because it got popular, i hate goons like that.
I just don't get ... ( 2 weeks ago by Kill2Smile)
I just don't get this. It's one of the biggest-selling dubstep tunes ever, right? The production on this is pretty amateur. I mean, it's some basic 808s, really, *really* basic monophonic melodies, and a few preset sounds. Respect to Dubstep, but I just don't get this. Can someone enlighten me and put this into context?
Basically you need ... ( 2 weeks ago by PedroAlonsoLopez)
Basically you need to hear it on the dacefloor or loud as you can get at home. Youtube does not do it justice really. Its very much on the dubstep lazy dancing vibe, and as an early track its still finding its way. Its more of a crossover track I guess.

I agree. This song ... ( 14 hours ago by bearachute)
I agree. This song sounds like it came right out of the preset song listing of a fresh Fruityloops install. Which is pretty sad, because so many people are into this song like it's so incredible, and pioneering, and they just look silly for it. That said, it IS about context. Everything about this music/movement says "lifestyle." And while I don't think that makes it any more valuable, that IS why it's popular. This song really encapsulates the whole "smoke-filled room full of teenagers" vibe.
