They're different, and amazingly bad! Blackmore's Night is Blackmores worst career move, and it's the most uninspiring band he's been in!

The live versions are so much better than the video, which is a little cheesy. Ritchie Blackmore is brilliant and should do more of this type of music - he was born to do it!

I haven't got a clue about what Blackmore "owne", but I think he owe it to himself and to his own fantastic talent to make music again.
The only, sole reason why people praise BN is because Blackmore is in the band. If he weren't in the band from the beginning, no one would've noticed them. I find it amuzing when Purple/ Rainbow fans are discussing things like "oh, I wonder if he's going to play the Strat much on the new record...
" etc. If they were into medival music, they wouldn't care!

Ritchie is now in his 60's and I'm sure the thrill of playing, 'All Night Long' and songs of the rock star shags totty ilk has faded long ago. He is now doing what his career stopped him doing before and playing the music he wants to play.

this is a classic song, everything rb does is of a high standard and listenable and enjoyable, whether purple, rainbow or blackmores night. i was resistant to bn in the beginning, but the music is different and takes you back in time which is what sometimes we need, though after listening to half an hour of blackmores night, i find myself playing rainbow or deep purple to get back to the hard rock guitar playing and real hard rock voices of ian gillan and ronnie dio

this is the first time i heard doogie white singing ariel, i'm more used to candice night singing it which is lovely, he's great too gives it a power, l times change and why shouldn't he do what he wants,like hard rock better though

I don't know why some people have such an intense dislike of Blackmore's Night just because Blackmore is playing a different sort of music now. I don't see why you can't like both, or at least feel something other than seething anger for the stuff you don't like.
I've been listening to Deep Purple and Rainbow since I was a baby, and I enjoy them both. Blackmore's night is a very different style, but it's still good music (well, a lot of it anyway... they don't take themselves too seriously).
