I have to agree. The Trans Am was a way cooler car. As a kid I thought the Vette was awesome, but looking back. It's gaudy and cheesy. He should have taken the deal. If I'm not mistaken the Trans Am was Luke's car before he went righteous.

I'm not being an old timer, but bullitt really did it for me. Not to say that this wasn't good as well. Two different movies. and I'm very glad that the guy shot the car with the blowing horn. Thanks for posting.

I never thought it was humanly possible to make a Corvette unsexy, but this movie successfully created the ugliest Corvette known to man. The Trans Am was/is so much cooler!!

The soundtrack for this one REALLY needs to go. Not exactly what I'd consider ideal chase scene music. Bullitt's Charger/Mustang chase, was much cooler than this cheese. Camera work was waaaaay better. It made you feel like you were actuallly involved in the chase. SEARCH YT -> Bullitt car chase

I love the originality of the 70's, with the car chase scene music even tho its corny, but that Corvette was ugly!, they should have used the music from action scenes in CHiP's

Obviously the people commenting here are NOT hot rodders. The work put into this car is absolutley incredible. Like Kenny Dantley said "It's the best looking street machine on the west coast"! This movie was right on the money. great cast and 70's setting. I would love to see this car in person. Great music throughout the whole movie. Perfect 70's (thanks for posting this video)
