Sti vs Evo? The neverending argument. Performance wise they are equals, hence the rivalry. Depending on the tester, one barely outperforms the other in certain catagories. So all there is to go on is looks. Do you want drive a glorified, ugly ass honda civic that says Evo on it, or a sharper sportier looking Sti?

you know i just saw a japanese version of this and the sti won all except the braking lenght, so two evenly matched cars, both beasts i mind you but it all depends on the drivers.

obviously this is a prefernce or personal opinion.i will say from my experience having owned an 05 sti with over 500hp and currently own an 05 evo,is the sti is a much better daily driver but the aluminum case is a huge weak link.on the other hand the evo has much greater horsepower potential but the trans. and transfer case need to be up grade (i am running shepracing stage 3).if you want the "best" car it would be sti for street evo for serious street and track.hey i've had both!

I have watched an evo in a race with a subaru and an audi A4. The evo won and was greased lightning, the audi came second and the subaru a dim third. Hell fire! Evo every time. I once followed one hoping to keep up - what a dumb ass I was - the reg was evo4eva and I didn't even see him taking off - it was that quick and he was gone. Lucky bugger. I was behind him one minute the next I was on my own, wondering what the hell had happened. Yo! Mr Mitsubishi! Give the girl a car for Gods Sake!!

these guys can't shift for shit. If you shift ultra fast on the MR you should get about 4.5 seconds to 0-60 mph

the one thing they dont tell you is that the evo also makes better power per modification. But personaly evo's just dont have the appeal of an sti or wrx. The subaru community is an amazing experiance, plus the subaru just looks like its built better. the evo no offense looks like it was made from plastic and chicken wire.. but all and all there both great awd beast and are both worth the money, its all just based on personal preference, there is no just winner out of the two.
