| I think it certainly helps that these men grew up on their feet even as children in east Africa. They come from great distance running nations too though and part of their success must be credited to their dedication to the sport and how they were inspired to succeed through their hard lives. But that is just my opinion. |

| Many other nations are at altitude, but don't rival Kenyan & Ethiopean runners. Other nations like UK have gone backwads in distance running. Get the top 50 distance runners from any country. Put them in a training canp at altitude for 4 years then we might see them approaching the same level. |
