| Magnetic energy isn't, what is the right word, permanent. Or a better way to put it, it runs out. For this to last forever you would have to re-magnetize it. It might not even be soon that you have to re-magnetize the magnet. It could be thousands of years if your magnet is strong enough. It's a good idea, but it just doesn't cross the line to perpetual motion. |

Many Of Newtons laws are still concrete laws but Einstein proved his law of gravity wrong by showing gravity causes space and time curvature. I'm sure people thought Thomas Edison was a nut when he was trying to creat electricity and I'm sure there weren't scientific papers supporting the possibility of harnessing electricity back then. |

The big oil companies wouldn't be able to keep word of mouth quiet forever. Plus, if I had invented one, I'd certainly make sure there'd be several prototypes for several people to keep it alive, and plans copied so more can be made. Plus the internet would be a gr8 place to showcase it. |
