She composed so many Great songs & proud to call her my Friend/Musical Colleague. Honoured to be with her,as well. She is one of the Best Singer/Songwriters/Pianists of my generation. It is Her'Signature Song'!- Penny
"Where You Lead",also from her Tapestry album
was a Hit of hers in the early 70's, as the others, except The Shirelles sang her "One Fine Day" in the 60's. However,"She is'noted'
for"You've Got A Friend"as her signature song,
given to her friend James. It is associated with both, because each of the two versions are so fine!!
But her"It's Too Late" was a fantastic classic
@ the same time. Where ever my dear friend goes, she is asked to sing:"You've Got a Friend"...because she owns it. Musical Regards, truly. - Penny
that I know her well as friend & musical colleague? I wish I could send one of my photos of us together. "People can be so Cold.
They'll hurt ya & desert ya,They'll take your
soul if you let them. Well then, don't you let them." - 'You've Got A Friend'
How more perfect in Harmony than that?
James did a fine rendition of her song.
Friends,
and IT WAS & IS HER MUSIC & LYRICS. She is 'Noted' for her signature song.
I Love It (:
ñoransa de no poder departir esta gran cancion como en los viejos buenos tiempos.
