true some parts of wikipedia for that exact reason but i think the article is pretty legit for the video. everything else on there seems to be legit. besides, both movies and the video do have almost everything in common as far as the themes go. thats just my opinion. i just think its dumb for someone to call me an idiot for thinking so, when there are obvious similarities.

um,...sorry, iheartcoca13, but you're wrong. it's actually based on "Beauty and the beast", but with a twist - the police are after him because he's a freak. Meatloaf is the obvious beast and the woman is the obvious Belle. Notice he smashes the mirrors? He does this because he hates his appearance. Also, notice at the end when the woman hugs him and he turns human, this is what actually happens in the classic story of B&TB - belle touches the beast and he turns human.
