To answer some question about difficulty. It's normal because you get items and giga bowser "feels" the attacks very soon (10% on), whereas in very hard, YOU GET NO ITEMS AND THE GUY DOESN'T EVEN FEEL YOUR ATTACKS UNTIL THE 80%s; MEANING YOU CAN FINISH HIM OFF AT VERY HIGH PERCENTAGES!!!

Giga Bowser is challengable when you complete Adventure on Normal difficulty or higher in under 18 minutes. No, he is not playable. You can also battle him in Event 51.
