man it must have fealt good to do finally complete it man. props to ya. but i dont have the balls to do that. im good with electronics but im not that risky. i know a store near where i live that can do stuff like this but if they screw it up im not sure they pay for it o.o. ill have to check. but that case looks real elite. and the screen looks bigger as well. im thinking of getting the zelda case off of ebay.

Got it, it was the mic wire was positioned incorrectly, after readjusting the mic wire under the motherboard R and L and springs sit nicely in place.

Well, I left out the springs in the L and R bumpers and they click fine without them so no probs. I think I left out a few screws too but no biggies all the main structural ones are in, now it's all back toegther and when I try to turn it on it goes on for 1 sec and goes off, I must have not plugged one of those little connectors in properly. this has taken a good few hours now or feels like it with all the reopening to fix bits I left out like that little screw thingy for the battery cover.

is it just me or is this guy all thumbs? he seems like he can barely operate that screwdriver... and i swear i saw a pair of tweezers with his screw driver set in the first vid, yet he he still insists on fumbling with all the tiny parts with his hoplessly knobby fingertips.

For those of you that have the shock case for ds, how are the buttons. I know that each case comes with clear buttons, but how clear are they. Are they completly clear, like glass, or are they more of a frosted clear?

If you go to the end of the video where he opens the ds withthe new covering you will see that the buttons are frosted clear. (u can even see the letters if u look closely)

man these cases are awesome but annoying as shit!!! when i got mine, none of the screw holes were driled out! so i had to sit for hours opening up the holes and making the damn screws fit! not that its not worth it, but still its frikkin annoying!

For some reason you decided to omit quite a hard part of the reconstruction of the ds lite from video, being how to replace the shoulder trigger buttons, as the spring needs to be placed in just right for them to work correctly.

It doesnt look that hard really, just follow this vid exactly, and keep track of everything and you should be fine, i just ordered this case and im gonna install it myself, should be easy :)
