Hmm... This is very hard to understand when observingworld and xstormsoldierx kept saying that God's laws are stupid. What I'm thinking is that they do not understand the Laws of God. Leviticus chapter 15 describes about the Laws that God concerns about bodily discharges. The bed is dirty, unclean because having a XXX is not that clean and when you touch that bed, you become unclean because of xxx? Very hard to describe... I want to teach them but I'm too confused and I would like some help.
Levitcus chapter 21 ... ( 1 week ago by aznjae121994)
Levitcus chapter 21 describes about handicaps like what observingworld said but when they eat the Holy Bread of God, the handicaps shall go to the altar and God will sanctify them if they respect God. And when God sanctifies them, they are holy again and there blindness or lameness or all those stuff will be gone. He will give them a second chance.

PS: My grandpa is a handicap because he can't hear very well and walk very well because he fought in the Korean War and he wasn't a christian back than but when he was saved, he realized that God could've saved other people from that war but He saved my grandpa and my grandpa realized that so he became a Pastor and many people are blessed by his Word's of God. I'm glad God gave my grandpa a second chance. Thank you God

If you know your bible you'll know that God hates the handicapped... Leviticus 21:16 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 21:17 Speak unto Aaron, saying, their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. 21:18 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach the altar : a blind man, or a lame. 21:19 Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded. 21:20 Or crookbacked, or a dwarf, or hath his balls damaged.

I know the bible ... ( 5 days ago by observingworld)
I know the bible very well and Leviticus 21:16-20 clearly says that people with all sorts of handicaps should not approach the altar. ___ That's the context.
watda111, don't say ... ( 5 days ago by observingworld)
watda111, don't say the bible lies. The bible is supposed to be God's word and this is what it says in Leviticus. Look it up yourself. 21:19 Or a man that is brokenfooted -- It's in the Holy Bible!
observingworld, i ... ( 5 days ago by rockamosher)
observingworld, i am a Christian and i know for a fact God loves us, He loves us no matter what race, disability, intelligence ect... This part of the Bible was aimed at a different time, before Jesus. So yes it is in the Holy Bible but it is aimed a different people, to what was happening.
The fact is these ... ( 5 days ago by observingworld)
The fact is these laws were God's laws. God back then was against the handicapped and didn't want them at his altar. What sort of loving god is that? Lev 21:17 Speak unto Aaron, saying, their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. The Old Testament in Exodus includes the 10 Commandments. You don't reject that as out of date so why do you reject the stuff that says God hates the handicapped? Basically you just reject what's embarrassing.
okay i see your ... ( 5 days ago by rockamosher)
okay i see your point but God gave different laws for different generations if you see what I mean, to counter what you are saying about the handicapped you need to read the new testament and look at what Jesus says too. :)
observingworld i ... ( 5 days ago by rockamosher)
observingworld i have just read through the whole chapter, and God is saying: that at the time God demanded no imperfectness in animals or priests, this was not meant as an insult rather it had to do with the priests must match as closely to God as possible. Of course such perfection was not fully realised until Jesus came and washed our sins away. Hope this answers your question :)
Those who claim ... ( 4 days ago by Flippymoose01)
Those who claim that the passage in Leviticus 21 means that God hates the physically imperfect, then you are mistaken. Read the context carefully. "Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of THY seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God" Lev. 21:17. the emphasis is placed on thy because all the priests of the old covenant were of Aaron, or more generally the tribe of Levi. The handicapped could serve God, just not as priests.
*TO UNDERSTAND THIS ... ( 4 days ago by Flippymoose01)
*TO UNDERSTAND THIS COMMENT, READ THE ONE BELLOW*
The physically imperfect were not to serve as priests in the old covenant for the sake of symbolism. Jesus Christ, the great High Priest, had no imperfection. Therefore, those who represented Him in the sacrificial system were to be the same physically to represent Christ's purity. Remember, double-check the context from another source before you believe someone. A lot of people on here excluded "thy seed." Speaking of Aaron's lineage: priests.

Who cares, it's all a bunch of fake, fabricated, crap used by politicians and religious nuts to make people do what they want.

So what is it you ... ( 3 days ago by Waymuchbetter)
So what is it you believe? That the whole universe somehow happened to create itself? That the creation of existence just happened on accident. That something came from nothing. Those are the ideas these political nuts are feeding you. That's how they control you. The reason they look down on Christianity is because it takes away their control. They don't want to follow anything that conflicts with their greed. They don't care for you, but God does.
Yes in fact, that ... ( 3 days ago by brad22498)
Yes in fact, that is what I believe. The big bang theory or any other scientific theory. They all make a little bit of sense. Now I have to admit the Bible makes for a great fairytale, but not something to live by.I would also like to tell you that you have some things backwards. These political nuts you talk about are the same nuts that came up with your religion.I don't get my ideas from political people anyway.Politicians and religious nuts work together to take away freedom through religion.

I realize I still have much to learn, but I know the way to go. It is something I can't describe. This deep feeling that guides me. No manner of attack will stop me. My faith cannot be defeated. I won't force my religion on you brad22498, but know this, I will pray for you whether you want me to or not. Who knows you may see the light one day.
