the key statement in the bill is "against the government." terrorism BY the government is acceptable (invading foreign countries, protecting corrupt puppet regimes by various means, police force against protests, etc). in their eyes this is fine, but the relatively small or even non-existant "terrorism" AGAINST the state is considered a crime

well we're told that congressmen don't read the bills they are voting on, so that might restore some of your faith that the wording voted on isn't deliberate, but if they vote that overwhelmingly and haven't read it, is that much better? it adds up to the same result. By looking over HR 1955 it appears to apply perfectly to the media companies currently broadcasting so much violence on American TV AND promoting their own homegrown brand of radical corporatism that attempts to impose its wlll on the American gov't, mostly through fear and intimidation. Anyone can file a lawsuit against the US Attorney's office in Washington to force them to charge America's large media companies like Time Warner with violating the Violent Radicalization Act (HR 1955).

Yep, it looks like HR 1955 will apply perfectly to the CEOs of Time Warner Inc. Although some of these individuals may not be citizens, they are operating primarily within the United States. They also meet the criteria of "the use of force", not violence. Just force, through their constant broadcasting of intimidating, forceful newscasts promoting the shipping of US jobs overseas, increasing the deficit and similar. All of this poses a serious national security threat.

It seems that the bill HR 1955 can be misused against Americans. I looked at the bill just now on the site and I couldn't find the sections that this video refers to however. Please double check. If the gov't wants to stop homegrown terrorism why don't they simply ban the building of all new mosques, why don't they ban the building of all new muslim schools? Some muslim schools are forcing Christian kids to enact plays of Jihad, they make kids learn to read from the Koran, this is nonsense.
