Supply and demand. In 1976 a whole joint of weed would hardly get you stoned so they bred it to make it more powerful and smaller making it easier to ship. I don't even smoke it anymore because it is too powerful and makes me paranoid.

People dont enter the drug trade because its fun. There is a lack of economic opportunity in Mexico that needs to be addressed by the government. This policy will do nothing.

Demand, supply, demand, supply, demand, supply. as long as they keep glamorizing drugs in the USA there will always be "Carteles". how about legalizing it like alcohol? at least you can tax it and get some money to keep fighting the "Carteles" and pay the police and army for the wonderful work they are doing.

The drug problem in Mexico is directlly connected to the addiction problem. This "drug war" will not be won by the Mexican Military, the DEA, US Border Patrol, etc. It will be won by having sensible drug laws and better treatment options in the United States.
