I call foul. It's about which is faster sending. morse or conventional texting. A morse2text algorithm is easy. Been done many times. Hell, the morse2text would be done on the sending cellphone, not the receiving one. I've been doing morse for many years. I can send 40 wpm but can only receive at 20 wpm because my fat fingers can't write any faster. A texting cellphone with iambic buttons for morse input. Where do I buy one?

with tex massaging by the time for example you text the letter "e" in morse code it is already recieved along with many letters after some people are capable of driving down the road and having a conversation with a travel companion while running code @ 20 WPM.

They need to check texting with entry using a full keyboard VS morse code entry. One button press to send a character VS 2/3 button presses to send a morse code character. Though there is the problem that with texting, message has to be complete before choosing the 'send the message' option. W/morse code, the recipient can get part of the message and 'guess' the rest, or.. no need for the sender to open menu, select the 'send' option, and confirm. w/morse, can just send short end-of-msg code

not really as the phone has to send it to the tower and if they are using a protocol that handshakes, then it will make sure that the tower got the proper message, and then the tower has to send over to the right phone which involves more handshaking and possibly sending it to multiple towers depending on what the computer finds as the shortest path, and finally the phone pops up its little "new message" window.

with morse you just send the signal for anyone and everyone to hear, and in this example there is probably no error checking between sender/reciever.

If you watch the video the morse guys were finished while the other was still typing the message. So all this handheld protocol bla bla is nonsense, when the morsered entered and transmited it, while the mobiles were still only entering...
