it won't, PS3 is more "open" than an Xbox, in that sense, Sony urges you to mod your PS3 which is why accessing the contents of the PS3 HDD, and PS3 OS is so easy (relatively, compared to other types of computers) I love the PS3 for that reason :)

No. It does not void your warranty. Sony also has the instructions on how to upgrade your HDD in the manual, so it's actually encouraged (so to speak) by Sony to do so.

FAT 32 is a type of data formatting language. It is the way data is written on a drive. There are two types that are commonly used, "NTFS" and "FAT 32". We typically used NTFS formatting for Windows operating systems and FAT 32 for just regular data storage.

no, first of all they guys in the video are doing it. Most people won't do it if it would void the warranty but sony does not void it, all the more reason to do it.

I'm surprised you didn't show how to restore your back up, you took the time to show how to get it off but not how to restore it. I know you just go back to where you backed it up and just hit restore but I would have thought that you guys would have at least made mention of it. none the less good video, thanks for posting it.

What if you had one of those usb adapters for your new bigger hard drive? Couldn't you just backup your stuff from your current HDD to that, swap it, and be done with it? Bypassing buying a external drive just for this. Or is there more to it to than that?
