| Im atheist and believe in science. What Im saying is the quest for understanding of the universe (science) is like chasing a rainbow - you will never complete it. Every answer throws up 10 questions. Religion will give you answers, just not the real ones. Science is difficult and never ending but REAL. Religion is easy and tells you God loves you etc but is FAKE. We should never go back to religion just because science is hard and we dont like the answers it gives us. |

| I think science is saying that matter and energy cannot be created nor destroyed and that it had always existed. The Big Bang is what happened when elements crossed paths and eventually expanded the universe. I don't think it is supposed to be ex nihilo. |

| I don't like the writing for this video. It seems to try and sensationalize this topic. Its a little rushed to talk about both the formation of the Solar System and the Big Bang in a three minute video. Also, let's clarify that the Big Bang Theory does NOT describe an explosion, but a rapid expansion of Space/Time. This is an important distinction. |

| Actually, there was no "real" original point of expansion. There is no location that we can point to in the sky and say "It happened there" or the microwave background radiation would be concentrated at a definite point in space. This is the same concept of the Universe having no edge. |

| If the universe came out of the "big boom",, and it banged using molecules and created the universe out of "big bang boom" and the universe is created out from molecules uhmmmm.... | Why do people try to seperate science and religion? I mean if there is a God he would have had to create us in a reality different from his. He had to put us somewhere with a set of laws that man are really beginning to fully understand. Something had to always exist and it could be a God and intelligent design or not. One is just as debatable as the other but will never be proved. |

| People seem to forget the bigger picture of why we are here. If there is a God then he has always existed and probably gotten bored over eternity as well as lonely. He made us in his image (mentally speaking not physically) and we are not that different from God in our thought processes, if we were then he would not want to put us through a test for his eternal companionship. Angels that are in heaven are probably just other who have past test in other universes. It is all about free will. |

| Why do you assume God must have been created? Everything doesn't need to have a cause. Only effects require an antecedent cause. For instance: We know the universe had a beginning. And whatever begins to exist has a cause. Theists believe that God is the uncaused first cause of all things. He is a cause not an effect. You cannot get intelligence from non-intelligence or nothing. Something must be eternal. If there was ever a time where there was nothing. What would there be now? NOTHING. |
