some of these comments make me ashamed to be asian. its a movie done based off a JAPANESE comic/show. so what if there's only one asian guy? are you so ignorant that all you see is the one asian among the other white actors and actresses? it's extremely hard getting good asian actors fluent in english (such as memoirs of a geisha, where the main role was played by a chinese), and OH NOES it only has one asian. get a life and grow up.

jeez so much haters ~well watever~ bi's awesome hes young talented n hes working hard trying to step out..and hes a really good actor love his drama!! he's an awsome singer n dancer..don't matter if hes japanese or korean to me~as for them casting white actors, don't see nething wrong wif it, but it'd be nice to see more azn actors.. neways hope this movie goes well -grew up watchig speed racer n was a big fan- i'm a bigger fan of bi so i'm just happy he's in this flim ~hope he shows up more =]

your right it is really hard to get asian actors fluent in english, and actually in Memoirs of a Geisha, most of the cast wasn't fluent in english they just learned how to pronounce there lines in english which happends...but i'm really excited for Rain to finally make in on the Big SCREEN!!! he's worked so hard and his english has improved greatly!!!

I've heard and read about many people bashing the Speed Racer movie. Is it really that bad? XD I even ask the people around me and most of them say it's bad, and it's not because Rain's in it. They just thought it sucked overall. In any case, I'm still gonna watch this movie once it hits shelves in rental places.

That's actually false. Lmao. Did you know that Rain actually prides himself for having single eye-lids as opposed to double-eyelids. He prides himself in that because he got rejected over 10 times in auditions as a singer back in Korea by entertainment companies because of his single eyelids, but even then still managed to make it into the entertainment market without single-eyelids. He prides himself for reversing the preference for double eyelids induced by Western standards of attraction.

no, he did fixed his eyes but not because of the movie...it is what his manager wants...if i remember correctly i think i heard it in one of his interviews..in "ysmm"..ohh i don't really remember the title but it is where they blow peoples face if their answers are wrong..
