There is apparently a photo floating around with a picture of Timbaland in his studio. In the foreground is a piece of hardware used for injecting SID tunes directly in to an audio mix. Logically, (t)he(y) just rigged up the SID mixer with this track and piped it in to their main mix with their drum-machine and lyrics, bounced it, et voila: money-spinner. Makes me ill just thinking about it. :-(

There is NO comparison between Dre and Timbaland. Dre samples. He takes PIECES of music- a few seconds- and mixes them into his own ORIGINAL compositions. Timbaland STEALS. He takes whole songs or several measures of songs and adds drums or a bassline, and then has the singer record their lyrics over that. There's NOTHING original about Timbaland's music, while Dre is a genius musician. NO COMPARISON AT ALL. Dre composes original shit. Timbaland steals other people's shit & changes the key.

this is an EXCELLENT chip tune, which was totally worth sampling, but TIMBALAND should have done it the RIGHT WAY! If he was gonna blatantly use it's main melody, he should have approached the artist & bought it off him. Surely, the guy would have sold 100% copyright to him for a tiny amount in comparison to how much universal music group would profited from the song. When hip hop producers can get tens of thousands straight up to sell a beat to a well known artist, this guy shoulda got paid!!!

Don't blame Nelly Furtado, it's Timbaland's fault for consistently being a rip-off.
Nelly hires Timbaland as a producer to make beats for her...she doesn't know where the hell he's getting it from. She can only trust that he's making original music, or at least crediting the music he's sampled.
